The meeting was characterized by in-depth content and engaging discussions. The focus of the event was the exchange of information on MonViA's progress to date and the joint planning of next steps. These intensive days offered participants not only the opportunity to share information but also the chance to actively network and foster new collaborations.
A key agenda item was the review of the past year, during which the foundations for implementing the developed concepts were laid. At the same time, future topics and challenges were discussed at length. Particular attention was paid to designing effective and needs-based future reporting. To this end, two working groups were established for the areas of habitat and organism diversity, tasked with further developing the foundations laid.
A highlight of the event was the exchange with a representative from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Community, who engaged in an intensive dialogue with the participants. These discussions addressed the specific needs of the Ministry and the potential of MonViA.
The two days were a successful start to the next phase of work at MonViA. Not only were new ideas and concepts developed, but collaboration and networking within the consortium were also strengthened. The insights gained and the newly established working groups will make a valuable contribution to the further development of biodiversity monitoring in agricultural landscapes.
