Density Index of Margin Structures Small-scale structures and Landscape Features

The density index of margin structures describes the ratio of the length of margin structures to the agricultural land (AL) within a landscape section. Margin structures can include, for example, paths, hedgerows, or linear water bodies. The index can be differentiated according to the type of agricultural land bordered by the margin structure (e.g. arable margins, grassland margins, arable-forest ecotones).
